Admission Requirements

Shri Jayendra Vidhyalaya CBSE School welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and aims to provide a nurturing environment for holistic development. Our admission process is designed to ensure that we identify and enroll students who will thrive in our academic and co-curricular programs. Below are the key admission requirements:

Age Criteria

Pre-Primary (LKG & UKG)
Class Age Requirement
LKG At least 3.5 years by start of the academic year
UKG At least 4.5 years by start of the academic year
Primary Classes (Grade 1 to 5) Minimum age criteria apply for each grade level
Middle and Secondary Classes (Grade 6 to 10) Must meet CBSE age and academic eligibility requirements

Academic Records:

  • For admissions from Grade 1 onwards, parents must submit the student’s previous academic records, including report cards and transfer certificates (if applicable), to assess the student's academic background.
  • For Grades 9 and 10, admission is subject to approval based on academic performance and availability of seats, as these classes are crucial for board exam preparation.

Entrance Assessment:

  • Students seeking admission from Grade 1 onwards are required to undergo an entrance assessment. The assessment tests basic proficiency in subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, depending on the grade level.
  • The objective is to evaluate the student’s aptitude and readiness for the grade they are applying for.

Personal Interaction / Interview:

  • An interview with the student and their parents is conducted as part of the admission process. This interaction helps the school understand the student’s interests, strengths, and areas where they may need additional support.
  • For pre-primary levels, this interaction is primarily a friendly meeting to ensure the child is comfortable in the school environment.

Medical Records:

  • A medical fitness certificate from a registered doctor must be submitted to ensure that the student is physically fit and able to participate in all school activities.
  • Parents are also required to share any relevant medical history to help the school provide appropriate support and care.

Documentation Requirements:

Applicants must submit the following documents during the admission process:
  • Completed admission application form (available at the school office or online)
  • Birth certificate (for age verification)
  • Previous academic records and report cards (for Grades 1 and above)
  • Transfer certificate from the previous school (if applicable)
  • Address proof (e.g., Aadhaar card, passport, or utility bill)
  • Passport-sized photographs of the student and parents/guardians

Fees Payment:

  • Once the student is offered admission, parents must complete the fee payment process as per the school’s fee structure. Fee details are provided during the admission process, and parents are encouraged to review the payment schedules and policies carefully.

Admission Confirmation:

  • Admission is confirmed only after the verification of documents, completion of the entrance assessment (if applicable), and payment of the required fees. An admission confirmation letter is issued, along with details about the start of the academic session and other relevant information.

Shri Jayendra Vidhyalaya CBSE School ensures a transparent and student-friendly admission process, welcoming students who are eager to grow academically and personally in a supportive and nurturing environment.
